| It was a fair day with a brisk breeze and the ground was still hard even with a good downpour the day before. We had 3 Pros out and about plus a smattering of low handicappers so the rest of us could only look and admire. Jon Webster had a hole in one which ruined it for all the rest who had 2s. Winner with 40 was Kev Pellow (of feather fame), from Charlie Williams, Alans Hannigan & Shire, Ben Childs and Chris Hole (because there were over 60 taking part). In the losers' pit, apart from yours truly, were blackcurrant, in_a_trice, blackberry, yellow, camelback, heather, just-too-hansom, cats-and-dogs, share-your-pain, snellinger-k, old pro, tiddles, busted-flush and out-for-a-duck. The results next week won't be available on the website until the following Wednesday as the author will be up a mountain up to his neck in snow. |
