| It was a lovely day for golf, warm and cloudy with a breeze; lovely greens although ground was pretty hard; average was 34. Winner was a lady, Emma Smith with 41 from Jeff Andrews (hard to keep down), Robin Herbert, Malcolm Lawrence (probably surprised) and Martin Short. Andy Smith copped it too, which was unlucky. The ed was informed that someone managed the difficult feat of putting their 3rd shot, whilst playing the 18th, into the pond - probably just pellow-talk; he was having a bad day along with yours truly, bogged-down, tied-in-knots, snarled_k, black-face, tanked, in_a_web, country_lane, witsend and newtered. |
