| Roasting hot with temperatures in the 90s (not so impressive in Centigrade) meant that the field was slightly depleted and some melted too. Not as many 2s as last week but still 11. Winner was Fergus Wood with 42 from a very enthusiastic Harvey Morrose (who felt we wouldn't believe his 41 (difficult to accept), Andrew Tildesley, James Brice and George Armstrong. Those who dripped in pools to help the rest of us were braced, muck_up, combover, dilight, pull_the_other_one, larconic, overgrown_I, pillow_talk, ridden_over, wobbly,, sniggers_all and old pro (drink more!). There was some incredulity in the clubhouse that the swifts had broken their own record in the middle of the day, but there you are! |
