| It was cooler with a bit of wind which was a blessing but... the Course Manager had dug up the greens so a mix of temps and sandy mains was a feast not devoured by the Club Captain (for one). There was a thought that the temps were actually easier but not shared by all; not many 2s though. Winner from the Sahara was Simon Squire with 42 points from Mark Nurcombe, Tony Biggs (best putter in Langport), Mark Cording, Graham Adams and Miles Skuse. Inevitably making contributions were yours truly and yardarm plus howler, oiled_m, not_so_whole, quink_t, smut_i, combover, squelched, godwit, ducked, marginal, swing_the_lead, braced_j and too_hard (who whinged about the greens!). For those who worry about those things, the round was a non-qualifier. A reminder for those successful Crispies who have reached 360 points in the Championship, you will lose all your Crispy shots and can't gain anymore (Rule 8). |
