| The first day of the season was cloudy and there was still some evidence of winter. The greens had been tined and sanded so were a little bumpy but not slow. The turnout was enthusiastic and akin to mid-season so there will be changes to how we manage such numbers as the 'boys' were overwhelmed! Our Ali had a hole in one so hard luck to the other 2s. Winner with 44 was Charles Fuller who cannot normally be described as a bandit and he was followed by former champ Will Newnes, then Gary Wide, Luke Whitear, Nigel Gridley and Sebastian Childs. There were many losers: pillow-fight, bad night out, austin 7, expensive, in-a-jam, mchooligan, in-the-neck, webfeet, blackface, not-grown, ex-champ, unpronouncable, brace-for-it, oiled, tanked and there-ought-to-be-one. Look at the Home Page next week for further announcements please. |
