| There would have been great excitment for the start of the season if the club hadn't booked in an enormous society across our traditional start time but, we're Crispies, so we battled through. The weather was much nicer than forecast and the course hard with fast greens - excellent for the time of year. Interestingly, fast out of the blocks with 41 points was Stuart 'longpole' Ling perhaps hoping to gain a second championship; he was followed by Gray Adams (aspiring royalty), Jon Webster (aspiring) and Paddy Farrell (perspiring). Thoughtfully providing us with crisps were Ryan the looker, Tony bigdrive, Darren kneesup, the Oxslip and the vicar. |
