It was a lovely sunny day and brought out a rash of Crispies; greens still poor. Of note was the number of 2s scored on the 14th and the greed of John Parsons who had three (could be a spot of envy there). Two of last week's winners fell foul of the almost immutable law that next week will be crispy buying time. Winner this week was Jon Webster with 43 from that old pro, then Martin Short, George Lee (well I did promise you something) and Richard Maslen. Losing miserably were the Ed (again), Not_so_fine (again), bird-on-the-wing, Locksmite (again), (s)ling-your-hook, snell-in-garlic and woodlice. This week brings the end of the month and a reckoning of bar bills which should be on the notice board on Friday. |
