After rain in the morning, the sun came out for a beautiful still afternoon. The greens were still bumpy from hollow tyning so scores were varied. Your very own editor had a blessed afternoon with birdies two a penny (11 in the field so not much money) and won with 44. This is very bad news as the cut was draconian and the proper handicap suffered too! The Red Rocket (G Wide) was second with 40 from Adam Strange (G Adams) and Geo Force (G Lee). They all would have won in other weeks. The Sandman and Dr Fate were not in the Crisps but The Secretary Bird (coming second last week) was, with Kid Flash (N Pepperel), Green Lantern (P Godwin), Nightwing (N Nightingale and, a new Superhero, Plastic Man (L Palk). It was noticeable that some of our heavyweights (Captain Comet and Mr Terrific) scored well without incurring penalty shots so you can see why they play so strategically!
