| Autumn's now officially here with leaves starting to drop and the weather turning colder; presumably croquet mallets would be more useful than putters on the greens. A small turnout did not prevent a closely contested event. Paddy Farrell (ex-treasurer) won with 38 points from El Presidente, Kelvin Oxley and George Lee. Thoughtful contributors to the Crisps were Gray the belt, Chastened, not-blessed-again and Caught-by-the-Curlies. Next week is the last month of the season so try to play if you can. |
