It was a warm cloudy day with no rain so good for golf. The Green Staff were not to be seen. It was rumoured that one of their colleagues had been lost in the rough, and after a mandatory risk assessment, they had roped together and plunged after him. The Golf Committee have not provided advice on members who might be concerned for fellow competitors in a similar situation so we await with interest. High scoring continued with R. Hatcher winning with 43 from A. Hannigan, C. Fuller, A. Rhodes and M. Pike. Sadly buying the crisps were yours truly, chestnut, fluster_j, harry, mullered, aitch-ess, sunk, carthorse, old pro, through and young pro. The President wanted to inaurgurate a memorial event to Tommy Bolt, the well known club throwing professional and it will be interesting to see if this progresses at the away event tomorrow. On a serious note, someone of the early golfers has not paid their £3, probably for the second time. This is an honour system so please be careful not to abuse it. |
