| The day was sunny and hot with the course playing like an unreconstituted raging pit pony! The winners did well although there was some suffering since crispy shots are lost if you are in the winnings. The winner was Owen Irish, newly joined crispy with 34 from John Snell (returning from holiday), Paul Godwin and Martin Short (who lost 2 crispy shots that he never saw). In the losers enclosure were Jeff Andrews, Steve Coomber, Chris Hole and El Presidente (again, in spite of secret practicing). There were rife stories of playing other people's balls including one that fell out of their own bag which has got to be a first. |
