TEE RESERVED NEXT WEEK 1-1.40PM!!! The weather was chilly with a NW wind. With tricky pin placements (the bleating bush warbler refused to do more than mention them), scores were not up to the standards of the Road Runner. The Swifts were out early, nearly caught by Blanco, the Chanting Goshawk. One of their number (Alan H) was accused of being a Magpie, picking up poor Speckled Mousebird's ball (who was seen all over the course - and was dressed in high visibility purple and pink to warn other feathered friends of his presence). Joff, the Cape Sparrow or Mossie to his friends, was first luckily, from your own editor and G. Lee 'the Cape Gannet'. Our Hon Treasurer (an African Marsh Harrier, known to Africaaners as a PADDAvreter) was quite obvious in trying to distort his Crispy handicap with an astonishing 18 points. He was nearly beaten by the White Faced Whistling Duck. Watch their performances next week. Finally, welcome back to Trix, the Red-throated Wryneck, and we were greatly disappointed by the dully grey clad Glossy Ibis (B. Hardwill)! |
