As is usual recently, a lovely green course is an indication that it has been wet and so it was in the afternoon with a wise bunch of Crispies preferring to watch from the windows. Some of the earlier ones included Harvey Morris who started around dawn and was met coming in by the Swifts going out, spray streaming from their wheels. Young Trickey was seen majestically driving at the 17th and partner, Alan Shire, slicing gently at the 18th but being left-handed, a sad end. Winner was Harvey Morris with 42 (who had been chortling about his 3 extra shots given him in a oner), from Steve Coomber, Chris Pitman and Jeff Andrews (off -3). There were some losers including from the Adams family_G, puceberry, burgeoning, contrawise_N, fell-at-the-jumps, fell-off-his-camel, oxslip and pillow-fraught. Let's hope that it's drier next week! |
