It can only be described as a wet day. There were still some hardy crispies and then there were some fool-hardy. The Swifts were out by themselves in the heart of the storm and duly retired early, swept in on the tide. Strangely there were no twos. Winner was Steve Coomber with 40 points from Chris Pitman, Kelvin Oxley and Debs Goodman (disguised under a voluminous rainhat). Some rain-sodden losers were grisly, furred_up, potholed, mullered, el presidente and welsh_marshes. We can only hope for better weather in October. |
