It was a lovely sunny day (again) with a little breeze on a hard bumpy course but the greens were running true and reasonably paced. Road runner and Trix made an unannounced appearance playing with Shorty and Dusty, so that was nice. In the winners' enclosure were Chris Chetzoy, first and Michael Bird with 40 points followed by yours truly (an appalling error of judgement with a nasty cut) and Pete Scarratt. Buying crisps were The Secretary Bird (back from hols), GrayAdams, Steve Coomber (this is becoming monotomous), The Gremlin collector Alan Hannigan and Kevin O'Brien. Having had some lessons to increase his enjoyment(?), The Hatter managed to shank his third approach shot to the 18th and then put the next off the back of the green before gaining a point. Watched by the Professor and the Treasurer, loud gales of laughter were heard, quite uncalled for! The best turnout of the season and the best average score too of 32 meant that quite a few people enjoyed their endeavours. Roll on next week!
