Hot, hard and bouncy but little wind for a change and that from the South West. The Crispys were up for it though with some impressive scores, led by Stuart Sully with 40 points playing off 3 rather than 4. Barry Hardwill outdid himself, playing with a bright green coordinated shirt and driver. Gary Wide turned up not knowing whether he was playing cricket or golf with white trousers and black shoes but still performed well although he was seen deep in the rough at least once! Kevin Burt, of the elegant hat, did not add to his Crispy handicap and came it very credibly, as did the new Seniors Club Champion Andy Smith with 34 points and not a hair out of place. |
