Perfect weather with a slight breeze led to some spectacular scoring with some of the committee doing very well although the money man obviously had a moment! The winner was Charles Fuller who shot a near level par score off a handicap of crispy 9 and will be cut to -9! Following on 44 was Lewis Woodcock (cut -9), Nat Pepper the flags, Simon Foster and Simon Farrar. Lots of people contributing to the crisps although not the locksmith who had a gratifying 35 points. For those with high handicaps, Chris Pitman had a 3 on the 7th and claimed, with his handicap, that it was a hole in one. Graham Adams may wish to lend him his belt and ask that he fund the Crispies with a round of drinks? More unfortunate, the Sandman was hit in the back with a Rick O'Shey and apparently now has a tattoo 'Srixon' with the motto underneath 'art by Dusty Miller'. We do hope that this will give Alan some hints on bunker play even if it is to dig in smartly when Dusty is swinging! |
