Having rained all morning, the afternoon was cloudy but dry; your editor was away having plastic surgery but no improvement sadly. Last week's wonderfully successful long drive competition meant that there was no Crispy but we resumed in slightly smaller numbers this week. Winner with an impressive 43 points was John Rainford, with Graham Adams, Oli Yarde and Ken Reid trailing behind. Thoughtfully bringing up the rear were falling-off-his-camel, drowned, drop-short (Army expression), wrongway-matt, wrongway-phil (giddy fall from Exeter) and sherbet-fountain. Those of you sufficiently patient to have read our esteemed club captain's newsletter will have picked out the members' survey is offered to us again. I would urge you to fill it in since it is the only chance to suggest any improvements (difficult though that is) that might be made to the club.
