It was a lovely day with a mild East wind. The course was hard and bumpy which included the greens which haven't recovered from their second tyning. As a consequence the scoring was lowish with balls not stopping and the rough being tough just off the fairway. John Snell, having kindly contributed crisps last week, won with 35 points from Kevin O'Brien, Andy Smith (zeroing still good) and Stuart Ling. Kindly supporting with crisps were Michael Bird,Graham Adams, Oliver Yarde and your poor editor who was victimised by the golfing gods from first hole to last (also not playing that well)! The ninth hole was particularly trying with many of its trees holding up well to a sustained assault.. |
