It was a nice day with cloud and sun; greens had been prepared for a funeral. There were some interesting scores with two 2s amongst those buying the crisps and two winners with afflictions of one sort or another. The Swifts were out of the gate fast, lucky that the people ahead had not turned up; one of their number, the late Tony B***s, said that the group of crispies that he had played with on Saturday could not keep up! Winner this week was Steve Coomber (the locksmith and a sh**ker) with 44 (cut 9), James Brice, Stuart Ling (of the long putter) and David Pring. Gracious with their money were one of the Adams Family, Unharmonious, Hortence, El Presidente (back after a long absence), Oxslip, Reedy and a newcomer Willing (welcome). Due to an administrative error (forgetfulness), the accounting was not put on the board but should be there tomorrow - many apologies. |
