It was a lovely day and scoring was high for most; the greens were slow and the course unkempt - going elsewhere is unwise! Standards of sartorial elegance were set by the editor with apple blue shorts plus spots (from a foreign course) combined with a sharp green shirt set people muttering about being cast in his shadow (I think that's what was said). The crispies emerged en bloc later in the afternoon with some requests for a rollup again. Please make your views known to the club management etc. Winning was interesting with lots of crispy shots involved. Lawrence of Arabia was first with 42 followed by Jonathan Denton, Martin Short (off -2) and Graham Adams (playing with the Swifts had obviously helped) - all with 40. Losers were the editor (shorts didn't work), Brinkmanship, Dawsoff, God-didn't-win and George Lee (hope daughter is OK). |
