The weather was comfortable with the threat of rain gone; the grass is very long off the fairways so balls lost with ease. Surrounded by Champions present and past proved to be very inspiring so a change of companions can be beneficial. Trix was seen rythmically pitching into the bunker at 18 so good luck with the next! Winner this week was the club handicap secretary some 8 shots under handicap off 9.5 - a worthy achievement followed by Gary Kayser, Roger Wallbutton, the editor and Dave Chesney. A bunch of losers with featherless, 006½ (again), dawdle, the black-cloud scot, boggy, el Presidente, sunk, donkey, not-good and a foot. One of our brethren fell foul of Rule 2 as he had not put a card in within 4 weeks so was DQed with 37 points. Please watch this! He lost his £3 as well. |
