It was a pleasant day, cloudy and the course was slightly(!) less hard due to some rain. The swifts were out before dawn in an effort to speed up play using such techniques as simultaneous play to ensure that there were few pauses.Some good general scoring this week with Chris Chetzoy winning with 38 points from Andy 'dead-eye' Smith, Stuart 'cross your hands' Sully, and finally Tony 'hardly ever late these days' Biggs with 35. If you are in the winnings, any investment in Crisp shots is lost - sadly true. Those investing at 28 points were yours truly, Chris Hole, Kevin O'Brien and, extraordinarily, 'Pepper the pins' Pepperel who was suffering from a handicap of -5. He has had a fantastic run but it is only right that the golfing gods should remind him of his mortality. Just for noting, the AGM is coming up soon with the ability to vote for people whilst not attending.
