It was supposed to rain all day so it was nice to avoid that most of the afternoon and the turnout was good and the scoring even better. There was some very elegant play out there with the Pounder looking particularly good with a lovely shot to the 16th. We must welcome Christy Hannigan who just missed out on the prizes but holed out from under the Hazlenut at the 6th for a 2! Winner this week was Oliver Dawson (where have you been) with 41 from Chris Hole, Paul Godwin and Ryan Aspinall (whose handicap is coming down nicely). Unlucky to be buying the crisps because the scores were so high were Finewine, Hogwash, Dusty, Grabams and Shorty. The winners will be announced in due course although a good round resulted in a clear Champion. Needless to say, the final reckoning on your bar bills will come through next week so watch your balances and the notice board! All things considered, we have managed a good season and been a backbone for the club which must be good. |
