After the deluge came a day of clouds, sunshine and a light wind - wonderful. The story of the day was undoubtedly the Swifts traversing the course in a record 3 hours 25 mins pursued by The Secretary on buggy and red dragon Reid on foot. T Biggs was exhausted as he crested the 18th green. Earlier, the suave Trix had commented on two swifts playing from the LH 5th bunker as both had projected balls majestically over the green and far beyond. It obviously quite put him off his game. To lighter matters, Miles Skuse won narrowly with 38 points from The Secretary, the Roadrunner (G Wide) and your own editor - a very costly matter in terms of lost shots! David Fineberg obviously fell off the afore-mentioned buggy to head up the crisps list with those on 28 points not being safe. Chris Chetzoy had the only 2 and won £18 - nice one! |
