It was warm, cloudy and breezy which with the autumnal leaves made for slow rounds. To all of this was added greens strewn with fertiliser which created putting problems for some of us although an average of 30, down from 34 last week probably says it all. A small field, possibly caused by threat of rain was led by Kevin Snell with 38 points, and the only one under par, from Jeff Dyke, John Rainford and Chris Hole (well named for once). There were, sadly, losers, last week's winner now woe-begone, fell-at-the-first, hoe-gone and unfrocked. For those who are new, the crispygolf website gives your handicaps in a drop-down at the top of the results banner. Another reminder to get your name down for the dinner on Wednesday 2 November to see who done well. |
