The weather was doubtlessly dry with some sunshine and the course hard and bumpy. Quite a few Crispies were away at the Cornish Festival where the conditions were similar although the greens were a lot faster. Gary Nightingale, such for a good name last year, will have to assume the superhero title of Nightwing, scored 40 points, beating the ever dependable Brockie, Chris Hole and Martin Adams. Last year's champion, the Roadrunner, narrowly missed out and is now to be known as the Rocket Red. Buying the crisps were Andy Avis, Kevin 'the hat' Burt, Chris Chetzoy (who has fallen foul of the new rules), Michael Bird (who has fallen foul of the new rules) and Nat Pepperel (who has fallen foul of the new rules). Etrigan the demon was nearly in the crisps and finished his round, so all is forgiven. The Swifts were away so the speed around the course must have been breath-taking. |
