Hard bumpy with luscious grass around the greens was quite enough to keep most of the Crispys down although our new competition leader, Ali Johnson had a creditable 41. There were loads of 36s and one or two people with low scores who also had 2s (Chris Smith, Jamie Tong and Malcolm Lawrence. Barry Hardwill had the brightest dress combination, but as he said, "if you are good enough, then why hide?" Our very own professor, Mike Steadman, managed to play a very low shot which landed and then bounced between the bunkers at the 8th to finish 20' from the pin - and then missed the putt. Amazing! We also must thank Jenny, as the first lady this season, to buy crisps; hopefully she's not been getting advice from Kevin, Jeff and Alan who have now bought them 10 times between them! |
