Finally no rain or wind to mar the belated start to the Season. The course has certainly survived better than many with one 1892 course pleased that the river hadn't burst its banks! The scores reflected the rust attached to not playing competitions for a while but 58 started (although 2 fell at the first fence for not having put in a valid h/c card within 4 weeks). Winner on count back was Richard Hatcher with 37 points from Miles Skuse, Jeff Andrews, Jon Webster and Wayne Barrett. Lots of losers - 006½, brickles, briar-patch, contrawise-r, damppatch, el presidente, newt-pa, newt-wilson, sooty, pul-another-one and frayed-devine-one. Four people didn't pay and many others offered large denomination notes. Please think about the admin guys who have to sort out the mess and then pay the winners. Three one-pound coins doesn't seem too much to ask! |
