It was a lovely hot day and brought out a few more Crispies; greens are still disappointingly variable. Pelican, or one cow (as he has been known apparently), Lawrence was seen labouring along 2 holes behind the next group; speculation was that he had tried a Swift's pace but couldn't keep up?! There were some remarkable scores, quite apart from 11 twos, with Keiren Chaffer getting 35 off -4; and Rich Harman having a one under par back nine. In the winner's enclosure was Graham Adams with 45 (cut 8), John Parsons 43 (cut 7), Richard Harman and Chris Pitman. Those terribly sad included UnreMarkable Andwoos, Fil Newtes, Oxslip, Shortened-fuse, Excruciating, quiet-and-s**t-at-golf (his words) and the Professor (who has his reasons). The Sandman was interviewed about his 2 afterwards and gave away this sage advice (no copywrite from Covid) 'hit it on the green and smash in the putt'. Very useful, so thanks for that. The Money list will be put on the notice board of the Mens' changing rooms so that Crispies can feel that it is worth putting themselves through such an experience. |
