Lovely hot weather with high clouds and a moderate westerly wind; the course was playing well, hard but lovely greens. The winner this week, playing in curiously overstated orange shorts was our Vice-President with 43 points from Matt Contreas, Dave Andrews, Malcolm Lawrence (scoring scorer) and Martin Hogan. The competition was fiece with 38 and 37 nowhere near. In contrast to previous weeks, no real scrap to buy the crisps but contributing were (again) oxslip and unfrocked with fellow sufferers: broke, not-holed-out, dusted, pitted and off-the-cliff. For those of you who are becoming exasperated with the new booking system, please write to the golf committee (competitions@) and the pro (jason@) detailing the difficulties of getting in, getting out, spurious emails, lack of knowing who your are playing with, etc.
