The day was rather pleasant with little wind and a bit of sun; fast greens and splendid rough with plenty of hidden balls and butterflies. Indeed there was some worry that we might lose one of our number when R2D2 and his trolley disappeared into one dense clump. Calls of 'Gary' and 'here boy' soon brought him back into our midst. Stuart Coleman won brightest shirt of the day and, for some reason, Barry Hardwell turned up in Chef's trousers. No one came from the kitchen to claim them. The winning score was not high at 38 but Mike Elkington came home from Mark and Malcolm. There were some surprising volunteers for the crisps but no comments about pin positions. Finally, please check your Crispy handicap - there were several errors this week including Dennis not realizing he had to add a shot. |
