It was a nice sunny day; the first of white tees and summer rules so that the President (Sir Pegleg) wondered why the scores were so poor. A long diatribe from Alistair followed on pin positions with whom many agreed! Lee Palk came in later to win with 41 so conditions must have eased. It is to be noted that all those with reduced Crispy handicaps suffered although Gary performed admirably with his new handicap of 4, now 5. The Treasurer, quiet of late, was finally heard demanding to know if everyone had paid - with those pins, in blood, sweat and tears! |
