The day was pleasant with a bit of NE wind to keep the temperature down when the sun wasn't out. Ali the Jock was in shorts and one can only assume that he was brought up in a kilt with little else on - tough boy! Due to a Royal Marine exercise, the first tee was a little slow plus the editor and professor were waiting to play. As a consequence there was a mass stampede for the 6th tee by all the other Crispys present. Your editor felt slightly hurt by this and a later attempt by the Jock and Slow Steveman to usurp his reputation for club throwing. It is to be hoped that a new Crispy rule may either ban this or give extra points for accuracy and length. The winning score of 43 came from Blanco with our President second (cut a record for the season of 10) with Divine Paul third (cut 8) and Jock a credible 4th with 38. Next week provides the last opportunity to catch the Wideboy.
