It could only be said that it was Mediterranean warm with a hint of a North-East wind; needless to say, the course was rock hard but the greens were running true if not fast. In the middle of the day, only the tough were out there (perhaps some not so wise people) but Crispies emerged later with 55 playing to an average of 33. These days, some weeks anyway, anything under 40 will not win you anything, so we hope that the winners are putting in handicap cards too! Winner with 44 was Marc Janes so cut -6 with Paul Thorogood second (cut -7, this year's record so far), Ian Sutcliffe, Charles Fuller and Kev Pellow. Of the generous sort were not_a_bird's_eye, briars, combover, toileted, noisy underachieving one, caught_short, smuts, what's happening to the triks?, ali_getting_better and chip_off_the_old_block. |
