| The day was sunny and hot with the course playing hard and true but quite a bit of wind. There was a good turnout with much early preparation. Swirls of flour flew from Dusty's putter amidst much laughter from The Joker who was wondering whether more sand would be needed on the course as Alan Shire (aka the Sandman) was playing again? The bronzed Ulther Pendragon (the President) was back - nice to see. Some of the scoring was impressive with Oliver Yarde (aka Karate Kid) winning with 38 points from Richard Maslen, George Lee and Paul Godwin. Crisp buying was competitive with Richard Palmer, Bob McWilliams, Nat Pepperel, the Sandman and Tonger all contributing. Quite a few handicap adjustments occurred with some crisp shots kicking in under the new rules. |
