It was a lovely autumn day, warm with a bit of sunshine; needless to say, the greens were slow and hollow-tyned: apparently the ladies like them like that! For those who were worrying, Keiren was seen playing with his driver although any rumours that lights were seen near the 17th tee late at night are not likely to be true. The scoring was very high this week with some Crispies performing well with negative handicaps. There has been some wingeing that handicaps have been manipulated and I wish that I had thought to do so. Winner this week was John Snell with 41 points from Kelvin Oxley(!), Chris Hole (who had a tidy round) and Richard Maslen. Losers this week were El Presidente, Growling Adams, Chucker and Heather (who it was reported had 20 shanks to go with his 20 points - a gruesome combination). We are guessing 40 for the dinner as only one person has committed. As there are prizes for many, we are assuming that there will be some interest. El Presidente is standing down at the end of the season together with The Secretary Bird and we need a new 'committee' to keep it going.
