A hot humid day on a bone hard course with some vicious pin positions should have made for low scoring but, although there weren't any stratopheric ones, the average was 32. Help for the toiling swifts came at 18 where an irruption of help from masseurs Trickey and Shorty came flying off the practice green to help find the editor's ball only to find it was Robo's that they were looking for - great disappointment. Interestingly, without handicaps, none of the winners would have achieved acclaim- however the winner, on count back, was Steve Coomber (great rejoicing) with 38 from Chris Hole, Jonathan Denton and Oliver Yarde. Crisp producers were Robotic, Hooligan, fallen-off-his-tree(1), fallen-off-his-tree(2), Chastened (again) and shoeless. Congratulations to Rog and Stu for their first 2s! |
