Light breezes, high clouds and sunshine with bumpy greens so scores were average. The swifts took off in a cloud of dust and were not seen again (probably started before dawn). The road runner obviously tried to catch them but ran out of steam. Martin Short, a Pied Wagtail for sure, opened his account, winning with 41 points. Den the Wren, he with the loud piercing song, was third; Michelle's other half was second, possibly a Barn Owl? The Golden Oriole, one J Brock, was spotted in his marvelous yellow and black plumage on the putting green. Kev Burt, a Bush Blackcap if I ever saw one, is disappointing in his new naff golf cap. Amongst the crispy contributors, Ali was noticed, again silent about the greens, so whether the Bleating Bush Warbler is quite appropriate, I'm not sure. State of the cards this week was abysmal. |
