Mostly cloudy and gusty wind with rain later but the course was pretty good. The Swifts set off in turbo mode and (almost) set a blistering pace. The Road Runner was a little slow and is going in for 'decoking' on Monday. The Lawrence was bouncing up and down but played well off his -5 h/c. Ryan Aspinall, fired up on Tinder, was near but his friends say that is as far as it goes. 38 points was easy for some with Owen Irish pipping Miles Skuse and the Club Captain, followed by Michael Bird (again) and Chris Chetzoy. Contributions to the Crisps from past champ Stu Ling, The Secretary Bird and many others were much appreciated, of course. It should be noted that Chris Hole looked 30ish (1930s) in his hat and Dusky had changed to a brilliant green to match Trix, both scoring reasonably without losing crispy shots. If you are going to the dinner on Wed 27 Nov, please give your name to Paddy Farrell of 'av u payerd' fame. |
