It was a pleasant warm day, rather than roasting, with many looking forward to the England World Cup Semi-final including our Treasurer with a very spectacular piece of headgear! The course was hard and the greens less than good. Winners with 38 points were John White and Chris Pitman followed by Stuart Sully with 37 and our own El Presidente with 36 and a big cut of 5. Buying crisps were Malcolm Lawrence (dizzing drop from last week), Steve Coomber and Martin Short. Of interest to those studying sport psychology, John White muttered most of the way round about his bad putting. Although we tried to reinforce these negative thoughts, he still won! |
