There was a flood of Crispies on the course as money was once again involved; this, of course, led to a deluge and many were promptly soaked although this did not affect the scoring. The winner, gremlins missing, was Alan Hannigan with 44 points (cut 7), followed by The Secretary Bird on 42, Dickie Bond on 40, and on 39 Ryan Aspinall and Dickie Bird. After being all conquering, both Newnes were in the Losers' Enclosure alongside the Locksmith, Lawrence Seaway, Pity, Shortie and The Sandman (both again). Some of the Shot acquisition is now becoming suspicious! Our resident wandering professional managed 3 birdies at the 2nd, 6th and 8th before crashing in flames at the 10th but only narrowing missing another 2 at 16. Henceforth he may be known as Three-two-go Steadman.
