| Rain for the early starters but clearing later as the pools dried up. Holidays and weather are keeping Crispys away. The results were startling with the average score up from 31 to 34 so the course was playing easy for some although 2s were again scarce. As the skies cleared, so did the gremlins and The Phoenix (A Hannigan) won with 41 points from The Joker (Trix), the Atom Smasher (Pep) and Cosmic Boy (A Avis). Some canny play by Etrigan the Demon and The Flash (Slowman) meant high scores with no cuts - nice if you can get it. In the crisps were Uther Pendragon (bucket man), yours truly, Mad Hatter and Metamorpho (R Maslen). If you weren't playing well, there didn't seem to be a 'go-to' safe shot and so to selfless contributions. |
