It was warm, sun and clouds with a light breeze; course was bone hard and greens mediocre. The depleted Swifts were blessed with the Adams Family and of course, it was Graham's birthday. He rammed a putt in for a 2 at the 6th from off the green (just) but didn't take the bent pin home with him. The emptyish course had Crispies spread across it so waves tended to be in the distance. Stuart Ling (of the very long putter) won on count back with 39 points from Keiren Chaffer, Michael Bird (rushing off a blocked M5 to play late) and Martin Short (who waited for him). Some of the sore losers were the editor, good-looking one, Masticator, unwilling newt and the gunsmith (firing blanks). The other Adams decided not to play with us and would have won, so good decision. |
