The weather was warm but overcast with the course hard in more ways than one! Due to some amazingly poor scheduling, the course was choked and, early on, very slow to such an extent that even the famed Swifts were fed up. Scoring was amazingly low so N. Pepperel, the Crimson-breasted Shrike, won with 36 points from the Golden Oriole (J.Brock) and our very own Bleating Bush Warbler followed by the Tawny-flanked Prinia (S.Sully). Crisp buying was eagerly sought with last week's winner, the Black-cheeked Waxbill, quickly trying to improve his Crispy handicap with a score of 19 points. Others too are obviously looking long term with the Secretary Bird, Pied Wagtail and Paddavreter all adding to theirs.
