It was a nice day for golf, cloudy but warm with a little breeze and the course playing well. Paddy, having shown form last week, this week with pals proceeded to shell the Crispies ahead of him on the 17 tee but didn't have the penetration required. Mark Andrews took instruction in club throwing and is coming along well. Winner this week (after previous tears about how bad his golf had become) was Brian Trickey with 42 points from, on 38, Oliver Yarde, Martin Hogan, Miles Skuse and Chris Coxon. Losers were plenty, besides the editor, The Secretary Bird, another bird, briars (this is becoming a habit), chastened, farr_gone (or sheller), godknows, hitched, snelted_K and shake-it-all-about (a new Crispy). Details on the home page for the crispy away day on Fri 15 Sep at Stover GC; first come, first served. |
