A fantastic turnout tonight with some 41 crispy golfers getting in what will probably be one of their last crispy rounds before the nights start kicking in. As it was several of us were held up due to numbers on the course and a slow 4 ball of visitors which meant we were finishing in poor light conditions, some nearly dark.Despite the lovely weather tonight's scoring was surprisingly low with the top score being Geoff Tyler on 37 which included his hole in one on the tenth and the lowest score being newbie Rob Watts on 22. I think this can be put down to the hard dry condition of the course. It is really burnt up due to the lack of rain and it's extremely difficult to play those approach shots into the greens. |
