| The weather, in Cornwall, was very windy with some quite sharp squalls full of hail; one presumes that it was pleasant in Somerset. The winner, on the first day of the season, was George Lee with 38 points, shading James Brice, and Michael Bird with Kelvin Oxley in 4th with 36. Supporting the cause of Crispy happiness were Ryan Aspinall with 21 followed by Chris Pitman, Roy Miller, Jeff Andrews, Martin Hogan and the post-eminent Kobe Adams, from whom we expect better!
