Grey and dry initially with rain later - another gloomy forecast made true! The grass was green and very lush off-piste but the greens were very good and bode well if the weather warms up. 67 crispies braved the conditions with mixed results and a multitude of 2s. Winner was Steve Godrey with 44 (cut 6) followed by Alan Hannigan (holed with his second ball at the 7th for a par - witnessed by Will Newnes with a squeal), Charles Fuller (tutus), Ben Graddon, James Brice and Craig Welsher. There were an avalanche of losers: spy with learner plates, crocked, badloss, el presidente (h/c building?), in-the-wc, TE (who lost the will to live), oiled, reigned-on, spiderman, blue, debutant, crisped, young-pro. It is to be noted that some crispies seem to be taking their work onto the course with some quite intense telephone conversations noted. Guys, this is supposed to be part of the life balance bit, so enjoy it whilst you can. |
