The weather was fine - cloudy with a touch of wind. The course was slightly less hard and the greens now very true. Crispy turnout is now quite good with The Treasurer (have u peyd?) sporting an Irish Cap with a Jaguar on top - quite a challenge when playing! Kelvin Oxley was first with 37 points from George the C-bagger Lee, John Snell and Kevin O'Brien (not sporting a Jaguar). Contributing massively were Chris Chetzoy (a dizzying drop from last week), Oliver Yarde, Chris Pitman, Chris Hole (Chris not a good name for scoring this week) and Alan Shire (building another useful handicap before winning, if last year is anything to go by). Stuart Ling was spotted waving goodbye to his partners as he headed towards the ponds on 17 but we needn't have worried that he was going to drown his sorrows as he emerged into the clubhouse shortly later. |
